Moore Park Beach is rated
in the least hazardous category by Surf Life Saving Australia. At low tide
it provides a perfect opportunity for the kids to yabbie hunt for bait.
The perfect 17 km stretch of
golden sand invites long walks -
dogs are permitted outside
of the Surf Club area (on leads).
The sunrises are wonderful
to experience, as is the sight of the
moon rising over the horizon on a
warm Queensland evening.
Driving on the beach is
allowed from north of Sylvan Drive all the way
to the Kolan River mouth - and south from Lassig
Street to the
Moore Park Creek, giving access to both river estuaries for fishing, picnics
and exploring.
