The Beach is patrolled in

front of Surf Club during school

holidays

and weekends in the summer.

 The Club is very active

and hosts many carnivals.

Moore Park Beach is rated in the least hazardous category by Surf Life Saving Australia.  At low tide it provides a perfect opportunity for the kids to yabbie hunt for bait.

The perfect 17 km stretch of

golden sand invites long walks -

 dogs are permitted outside

of the Surf Club area (on leads).

The sunrises are wonderful

to experience, as is the sight of the

moon rising over the horizon on a

warm Queensland evening.

Driving on the beach is allowed from north of Sylvan Drive all the way

to the Kolan River mouth - and south from Lassig Street to the

Moore Park Creek, giving access to both river estuaries for fishing, picnics and exploring.
